Opposing the war in Libya is not isolationism or pacifism

Opposing the war in Libya is not isolationism or pacifism, contrary to what Sen. McCain and the Wall Street Journal suggest. Rather, it is about preserving the United States Military for its constitutional purpose: to protect the United States from foreign invasion, protect American assets, and to project a credible deterrent to our enemies. The US military was not created to protect foreigners from civil wars. Using our military resources when it is not needed erodes our ability to respond to true threats to our national security.
