“You are on your own.” We wish!

"The one thing that we absolutely know for sure is that if we don't work even harder than we did in 2008, then we're going to have a government that tells the American people, 'you are on your own.'" -- Barack Obama. He's telling us if he loses, the government is going to leave us alone. Is he campaigning for Republicans?

  1. Why don't you go research more about the Republicans and Congress? Bush put us in this mess and now you're blaming Obama? Republicans are pro big business and wants to do away with high taxes so that the rich can profit more from it. Obama has asked Congress countless of times to pass bills, that Congress is too lazy to do (or is it because it's mostly Republican?
If you looked at our history, the Democratic party has always been the choice for the middle class and the poor. Ever since Bush (a republican who bought his way into yale and maintained a c average)was elected we were hit b 9/11 and had a surge of red alerts (which were fake so that he could be reelected into office). And Obama isn't a true Democrat, he has actually done some things that favor the Republicans (which evidently many liberals disagree with).
Didn't our founding fathers built the constitution on the notion that it should be secular? Isn't America supposed to be a "freedom land"? Bush tried to "liberate" Iraq (where religion is the base of their government). How could he liberate anything, when he's preaching about God in every speech?
We have strained so far from what our government was built upon- and frankly I believe that America will only get worse if we elect another Republican like Bush.
We DO NOT need another republican president who will only care about the rich and preaches about God while hurting America, we need a president who will actually make a better change.
Obama might not have met our expectations, but we should not take another chance by electing someone like Bush. (Why did we hope so high after making the idiotic decision of reelecting Bush?)
Yes, I am a bleeding heart liberal. Don't look down on me because I'm only in high school; that's just being closed minded as any other conservative.
