Obama suggested that the federal government creates prosperity.  Recently Obama said that “you can’t cut your way to prosperity.”  This suggests that the federal government is the source of prosperity in America.

Los Angeles Voters Should Reject Alex De Ocampo for City Council

On March 5, 2013, Los Angeles city voters will elect a new mayor and residents of Los Feliz will be electing a new council member to replace termed-out Tom LaBonge in district 13.  The city of Los Angeles has a lot of significant issues to handle such as a public sector pension crisis, massive budget deficits, crumbling roads, corruption in city hall, and other government failures.  Sometimes a political race comes down to who not to vote for.  There is someone you should not vote for under any circumstance and should be laughed out of the public spotlight:  that person is Alex De Ocampo, who is running for city council in district 13.  I went to high school with Mr. De Ocampo and know him personally.  I am his friend (on Facebook).  Based upon my experience with him, I have found that his ideology is utopian statism and is absolutely incompatible with the principles of a free society.  His solutions are government centered at a time period in which government failures are all around us.   He is not skeptical of any stance that will increase the power and reach of government and he is only skeptical of the private sector.  He does not believe in individuals, but merely groups of people who are to be nudged, punished, coerced, or pushed from government edicts.  To Mr. Ocampo and his ilk, it is a completely foreign concept to think that individuals can look out for their own interests without a bureaucrat dictating the minutia of every part of life . Even as a utopian statist, he is a remarkably shallow and superficial person.  A quick look at his Twitter account at twitter.com/Alexdeocam79 will show Tweets that lack any attempt to even persuade people to his view.  He was a member of the Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council.  His experience as a member of the Greater Griffith Park was basically as a seat warmer.  I read the minutes from the Greater Griffith Park meetings and it is clear that, aside from being late occasionally to meetings, he did not say anything remotely meaningful in improving our community.  Nor did he propose any policy that can be even remotely beneficial to our community.  In fact, it appears that even he knows that he was useless: his web site merely lists his membership on the board and does not list a single accomplishment!  Aside from his general uselessness as an officeholder on the Greater Griffith Park neighborhood council, it is clear that he represents the type of politician who tries to win a seat merely to get bored and get elected to the next office.  Haven’t we had enough unqualified, incompetent, and ideological nutty hack politicians?  Just say no to Alex De Ocampo this March 5, 2013.  

Diane Feinstein hates the U.S. Constitution

Democrats hate the U.S. Constitution.  They are being upfront and personal about it.  U.S. Senator Diane Feinstein basically wants to ban every gun she can imagine.  She does not want Americans to be free.  She envisions a world in which the federal government has an unlimited amount of power to do whatever it wants.

Democrats are starting to let their mask off and they are not even pretending to care about the U.S. Constitution.  Democrats have long ago given up on any attempt at amending the U.S. Constitution because they know that they are not able to comply with the amendment process (2/3 vote in Congress, 3/4 of the state legislatures).  Instead, Democrats are trying a new strategy: getting rid of the U.S. Constitution in order to get to the tyranny that they support.

Democrats intentionally destroying economy

Democrats are intentionally destroying the economy because they are under the impression that making people poor will make the people dependent upon the government.

House of Representatives passes bill allowing more high-skilled immigrants. Democrats oppose.

Today the House of Representatives passed a bill allowing in more foreigners with advanced science and engineering skills into the United States. Democrats opposed the bill. Democrats naturally opposed the bill because such immigrants are informed and educated and thus not likely to vote Democrat in overwhelming numbers. "We only want gardeners and housekeepers to immigrate to America because that is the way of the future" say Democrats.

GOP must adopt a little Saul Alinsky

The GOP must develop a little Saul Alinsky.  The time has come to go after Democrat constituency groups.  Shrink copyright protection from one's entire life plus 70 years to 20 years.  Go after the trial lawyers by supporting "loser pays" the other side's attorney fees for civil litigation.  Go after professors by eliminating all federal mandates and subsidies for higher education, thus encouraging a more rational, capitalist- university system.  If Democrats want to import socialist voters, what stops you from looking around the world and cheery picking countries with likely Republican voters?  Some imagination would go a long way towards bringing our party back to majority status. 

Democrats don't love America. They love freebies.

Democrats don't love America. They don't even pretend to. Democrat voters, unfortunately, have to suffer the consequences of a bad economy before they will become aware of the error of their ways. They literally seem incapable of recognizing that socialism and statism and fascism will not result in the utopia that they presently believe will come about.

Problems of the Western world….

Most of the problems in the Western world relate to the welfare state. Most governments around the world--the United States, Europe, most blue states and blue cities, are going broke to pay for it, which only fuels additional claims for new benefits, such as phones, cars, free houses, free college. Regardless of how people vote, or what they wish to see happen, objectively the laws of economics will prevail, and it won't be pretty when it happens.

Vote—for Romney!

Today Americans from across the country head to the polls to determine the future of this country.  It is absolutely essential that Americans vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.  America has suffered from Obama’s socialist agenda, and we are paying the price for it.  We need to turn the ship around, and elect men who believe in capitalism, a strong defense, and a foreign policy based upon national security interests.  Defeat Obama.  Vote for Mitt Romney.
