Obama's end goal: destroy the private sector, and enact a centralized administrative state.

Everyday brings more news on how Obama wants to enact a new power grab, shifting power away from the individual and towards a centralized, authoritarian and unaccountable D.C. establishment. In a time period in which individuals are already hurt by a weak economy, President Obama promises to weaken the economy even further by punishing the absolutely most productive members of our society, serving to discourage them from hiring workers, donate to charity, and invest in new businesses. He wants to raise the top marginal tax rate through the roof, but he will later impose even higher marginal tax rates on the not-so-rich when the revenues promised from taxing the so-called "rich" (read: productive) turns out not to pan out the way he originally imagined.

He is going through a spending spree that serves to crowd out the private market. Obama wants to crush the private market--just as the liberal Democrats in Congress crushed the financial and automobile industries--so that he can nationalize them.

He wants to crush the health care industry with new regulations and by subsidizing the government-run model--to a point in which individuals will one day be forced into a government-run health care monopoly, one in which individuals will not have choices, seniors will be "sacrificed" through a lack of care, and new innovations (such as new drugs) would disappear overnight.

He is running trillion dollar deficits that will serve to encourage the Federal Reserve to start printing more money, which will cause the type of hyperinflation that is often seen in Third World nations.

Then, to cement his rule, he is hoping to legalize the millions of illegal aliens, who, due to their illiteracy, poverty, and inability to assimilate into American society, will be reliable votes for the Democrat Party. These are dangerous times. We Republicans must oppose all of this. Obama's plans are not typical positions for a person in power to hold. These are radical stances that are far outside the American mainstream. He is not constrained at all by the United States Constitution or the fact that public opinion disagrees with many of his ideological goals. He doesn't care. The man is on a mission, and he is out there to destroy the private sector.

President Obama releases terrorist who is now a free man in England.

A mere 24 hours ago, Guantanamo Bay detainee Binyam Mohamed landed in England - a free man. Mohamed was captured in Pakistan in April, 2002, and has admitted to training at various Al-Qaeda training camps and is alleged to have plotted multiple attacks on American soil.

Included in his laundry list of terrorist activities are:

  • Training at various Al-Qaeda training camps, where he specialized in firearms and explosives
  • Being taught by senior Al-Qaeda leaders how to falsify documents
  • Receiving money by Al-Qaeda leaders to travel to the United States
  • Tasked by senior Al-Qaeda leaders to blow up high-rise apartment buildings in the United States
  • Holding meetings with Saif al Adel (a top level al Qaeda planner and leader) and Khalid Sheik Mohammed (9/11 mastermind)

Democrat Sen. John Kerry says that you are too stupid to spend your own money.

We have long held that Democrats believe that the American people are too stupid and incompetent to spend their own money properly. This is mainly because Americans would prefer to earn and invest their money by spending it buying homes, cars, eating at good restaraunts, whereas Democrats would prefer to spend it on condoms for kids, fixing the Department of Agriculture building, adding new furniture for the Department of Labor, and all sorts of other wasteful uses of tax dollars. However, in this clip, you can see that Democrat Sen. John Kerry truly believes that he should be the one who spends your money. He shows utter contempt for you and believes that your money is better spent when it is in his hands because he has superior wisdom over where this money should be spent.

He says that if a businessman or an individual has more of their own money, "there is no guarantee that the individual will invest their money." So what!? It is their money! Does the government "invest" the money when it renovates the Department of Agriculture's building?

"So government, yes, government--has the ability to be able to make a decision that the private sector would not necessarily make today," Democrat Sen. John Kerry states.

Yes, I think that John Kerry is quite right on this point. Most Americans would indeed far prefer to buy a bigger house, a new car, higher-quality food at Whole Foods, perhaps a trip to Las Vegas, as opposed to the wish list of odd ball things that John Kerry has in mind, such as condoms for kids, renovation of government buildings, giving away money to people who do not pay taxes, and creating a computer database for computerized health care data so Washington bureaucrats can learn about your health care history. Yes, I think that the people have different ideas on how to spend their money.

California's Democrats want to tax the population into abject poverty.

California is trying to do something quite immoral. Right now the Democrats in the California state legislature are trying to increase taxes significantly in an effort to continue paying lazy and incompetent government workers high salaries and benefits that are not affordable. We are in a recession, and it is only reasonable that government would also reduce their expenses in light of the national recession. As I have always said, liberalism is not sustainable. In order to keep these government worker's high, the politicians have to make the public a lot poorer. Also, interestingly, unlike the Washington, D.C. Democrats who say that they want to only "tax the rich," California intends to tax everyone, from the poor to the middle class. What the Democrats want to do is steal from you in order to keep paying their buddies--the state worker's unions. Further, this is only going to result in more businesses leaving the Golden State, which will result in even less taxes going to the state, which will result in the politicians imposing even higher taxes on the middle class.

Here is a sample of some of the new taxes that California's socialist Democrats have conjured up.
  • Vehicle license fees would nearly double, going from the current rate of 0.65% to 1.15% of the value of a car or truck.
  • The sales tax would increase by 1 cent, raising the rate in Los Angeles County to 9.75%.
  • Gasoline taxes would increase by 12 cents a gallon.
  • And Californians would pay a new surcharge on their personal income taxes, amounting to 2.5% of their total tax bills (this is a tax on your tax!)

Just think about what Obama has done in only about two weeks in office:

• He signed an Executive Order to close the Guantanamo Bay Detention Center.
• He ordered the Pentagon to find ways to cut our Defense Budget by over 10%
• He appointed Tony West as Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Division of
the United States Department of Justice. West was the lawyer for the American
Taliban, John Walker Lindh.
• He dropped charges against U.S.S. Cole bombing mastermind in the military
trials being held at Guantanamo Bay.
• He ordered all military commissions trying terrorists to be halted.
• He has ended aggressive interrogation methods by the military and our
intelligence agencies to get valuable information.

And this is only a partial list!

President Obama meets with losers in Florida.

President Obama had a rally today in Ft. Myers, Florida, during which he met with people who do not want to help themselves, but rather believe that the government is there to get them a home, a new kitchen, a new bathroom, increase their income, find them a new job, etc. These citizens are children and want to be dependent upon government handouts. They are losers. One woman, Henrietta Hughes, asked for a house from Obama! Obama could have said, "The federal government's purpose is not to steal money from one citizen to provide benefits to you. The purpose of the federal government is to protect your individual liberties so that you can go out in the world and start your own business or work for someone else." Instead, Obama pandered to the woman by falsely giving the impression that he was going to cure her economic situation, when he won't! These voters truly are expecting miracles from a politician, and these miracles will never materialize. No politician can ever provide you with all of your needs and wants. It is your job as a citizen to provide for your needs, wants, and long-term goals for the future. And why would you want to sit around and wait for President Obama to provide you with a house, a kitchen, and whatever else that you want? It is never going to happen if you sit at home and wait for some hack politician to provide these things for you.

Sen. Chuck Schumer thinks you're a damn idiot!

Look at this clip from arrogant deplorable New York Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer. Mr. Schumer represents the worst type of politician: one who steals from his constituents and brags about how "the American people really don't care" about this abuse of the public treasury. Yes, Mr. Schumer, the people love paying taxes and "really don't care" if the politicians are transferring this money to their politically connected allies and friends. The American people don't mind being economic slaves to the Washington political class. Instead of being able to serve their own needs, living for their own benefit, they are perfectly fine sending their money to Washington so glib politicians can spend it on wasteful projects and announce that the people "really don't care." Philosophically, this is part of the collectivist mentality that suggests that people should live for another's sake, rather than their own. Sen. Schumer is suggesting that one should not earn a living for their own sake, but rather for the benefit of politicians. New Yorkers: If you can re-elect such a contemptible, low life politician like this, what does it say about you? It says you're a damn fool if you vote for this man again.

President Obama admits that he will not be re-elected.

President Obama has said today that if his economic stimulus plan doesn't work, "you’ll have a new president." This is quite a shocking thing to hear, especially considering that no economic stimulus plan of this sort has ever worked in the history of mankind. This is therefore a puzzling statement for Obama to make. One would assume that Obama realizes that his economic stimulus plan won't work since most economists believe that this is part of a discredited, Keynesian economic theory. Perhaps Obama figures that the economy will recover by 2012, and he will be able to take credit for such a recovery. Still, he basically has admitted that he is now a failure for promoting a policy that will not work, which he says is a good reason to have a new president in 2013.

Your elected representatives' voice mail system is full.

Have any of you contacted your Senator or Member of Congress to oppose the non-stimulus package (sometimes known as the "Generational Theft Act"), had your call transferred to a voice mail system, which, lo and behold, was full? You would think that considering that Congress wants to spend $1 trillion of our money that they could afford to have a first class voice mail system that would enable us to voice our opposition to the idea that wasting more of our tax dollars is the path towards prosperity.

How Conservatives will Win back Power in 2010.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi actually offers Republicans a successful path towards governing. Unlike Sen. John McCain, who talks endlessly about "reaching across the aisle" to work with Democrats, Speaker Pelosi does not endlessly talk about how she wants to work with Republicans. Pelosi is a leftist who believes quite strongly in empowering the state and turning the United States into a socialist basketcase. She does not have any need for Republicans to "work with her" because they are an impediment to her objectives. While we do not agree with Nancy Pelosi on her objectives, there is something praiseworthy for a leader who knows exactly where they want to take the country and are willing to pursue those objectives without endlessly talking about how they can work with those who don't agree with them. That is not why people elect leaders. We elect leaders to pursue our objectives. Frankly, we don't care whether you can work with the other party or not. The other party is an obstacle. Nancy Pelosi knows this. It is time that we realized it as well.

Republicans--this is a wake-up call: we want leaders who talk about our ideas and articulate them in a way that is appealing to the vast majority of the public. We do not want to elect people who will endlessly apologize for holding conservatives principles and make endlessly banal references about working with those who do not share these principles. Show determination! When our principles are on full display to the public, as in the case of President Ronald Reagan's re-election, we win huge (Reagan won nearly 60% of the vote in his campaign for re-election in 1984, as well as 49 states).

Democrats Underground is the place to go to find mentally deranged Democrats.

Recently I have decided to spend reading online postings made by those who have, at one point in time or another, been committed to a mental hospital. This is no easy task. I found one site where such postings are made on a fairly regular basis. It is called "Democrats Underground," which makes some sense since the views of Democrats tend to come from dead European socialists, who are "underground." In any case, one thing I noticed about these posters is that, even though their candidate for the president won the election, they are still incredibly anger and filled with rage. Even though Republicans are not in control of anything in Washington, the online, mentally disturbed crowd are still filled with rage and anger.

The one issue that many of these online deranged individuals seemed to be foaming at the mouth over is the Obama "stimulus" package--which is a scam. I read many of the postings and I can say with certainty that almost none of the posters on this site knew anything about economics. (Of course, what would you expect from a site that is populated with individuals discharged from a mental institution?) In any case, there were posts that argued that Republicans wanted to vote against the stimulus package only due to a desire to see the United States economy collapse as a result. First, let us think about how economies work. If merely passing legislation to steal $1 trillion from the part of the country that works and to hand the $1 trillion to the losers who work in the government and vote Democrat was the way to improve the economy, then North Korea and Cuba should be the most successful countries in the world. A lot of these posters do not realize that the government is not able to "create wealth" through an act of Congress. Government does not create wealth, but it can take measures to make wealth creation possible through having a military to protect against foreign threats; the police and emergency responders to protect one's individual rights; to have a stable currency as a store of value; as well as a court system that can allow parties to resolve individual differences through objective law. Secondly, we tried the stimulus plan in the 1930s as well as in 1990s Japan. The result is that in both situations, it created a lot of government debt, but the economy did not grow and unemployment remained high. Thirdly, over 200 mainstream economists have argued that the stimulus package is not going to help the economy. Fourth, if increasing government spending is the recipe for success, shouldn't the Democrats be thanking President George W. Bush for increasing the federal budget at a rapid pace?

President Obama proposes 100% tax rate to respond to the financial crisis.

President Obama is taking new decisive measures in order to respond to the financial crisis and improve the overall economy. President Obama wants to impose a new tax rate of 100% on the "rich," which sources say will include those who make more than $30,000 a year. "We cannot continue to allow people to continue to earn an unlimited sum of money. It is time that we impose -- for all time, a sensible tax rate in order to provide the government with enough spending power to provide jobs to the 500 million Americans who lose their jobs each month," President Obama has said. Further, Obama has stated that, with the imposition of this new tax rate, he will be able to provide a stimulus much larger than the present proposal of $1 trillion dollars. Instead, President Obama's aides have stated that this will enable for a stimulus closer to around $9 trillion, or about 65% of the entire US economy. "This way, almost every dollar in America will be controlled by my administration. Considering that I won 52% of the national popular vote in 2008, it makes sense that I would control most of the economy."

President Obama spends a lot of time in the White House, and he says that he has become a bit tired of just spending $1 trillion every few weeks. He says that "it would be a lot more exciting if I was able to spend substantially more, especially because, by virtue of my education from Harvard, I am able to more wisely spend $9 trillion than 300 million Americans acting in pursuit of their self-interest." As a result, Obama has asked that individuals turn over 100% of their income above $30,000. A new IRS bill is pending to increase the size and scope of the IRS in order to chase the selfish Americans who actually believe that they are permitted to keep the income that they earn. "We need a new IRS bill in order to confiscate all income in excess of $30,000. This will stimulate the economy by hiring more workers at the IRS."

President Bush famously lowered the top marginal tax rate from 39.% to 35%. This was a mistake, says, President Obama. Philosophically, this would cause Americans to become more accustomed to taking care of their own interests, including raising their family, paying their bills (including their mortgage) on their own, and this would eventually result in Americans having less of an interest in government programs. "What we need to do is to condition Americans to be aware of the great benevolence of government workers and the programs they administer. People are just "not appreciate enough of how tirelessly government workers are thinking about the interests of the 300 million Americans they serve," said Obama. For instance, when government bureaucrats are not taking their twentieth coffee break of the day, occasionally they are downloading pornography, which is also a huge stimulus for the economy. President Obama also believes that Americans work far too much and have too many items in their homes. "We believe that by imposing this new 100% tax rate, we will make homes a lot more comfortable since there would be a lot less furniture and additional television sets and computers," President Obama said. After all, the public needs more IRS buildings, and it would be unfortunate to deny us the opportunity to hire more workers just because selfish Americans wanted to have more tasteless furniture in their homes.

Sarah Palin starts Political Action Committee, SarahPAC.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has started a political action committee, called SarahPAC. We are happy to see Sarah Palin enter the national political scene, especially because in a time period in which the federal government wants to increase spending to the tune of a $1 trillion dollars, Alaska is run quite well, with a frugal and prudent budgetary system, no state income tax on its residents, and wise policies designed to liberate energy producers to provide energy to the lower 48-states. We look forward to seeing a President Sarah Palin in the future--hopefully four years from now.

Irrationalism as public policy.

There is the sense of madness in the air. What I always find fascinating is how people tend to support people who are contrary to their interests. For instance, young people -- those under 30, voted for President Obama by overwhelming margins, even though he opposes allowing private Social Security accounts, which most young people support. President Obama prefers to lock in younger voters to the obsolete Social Security system that will be bankrupt by the time young people of today are retiring. Of course, this doesn't bother President Obama much because he will be a former president by the time these young people are aware that the money that the politicians have promised just isn't there. Or let's take the issue of blacks: as a group, they support Democrats by overwhelming margins, even though it is Democrats who are responsible for ensuring that inner-city government-run schools are institutions of chaos, rape, murder, mayhem, and disorder, and have done everything in their power to ensure that no competition is permitted. Blacks also support competition as opposed to the government-imposed school monopoly. In one striking excerpt from a poll done on the views of black parents on competition with regard to education: "87 percent of black parents aged 26-35 and 66.4 percent of blacks aged 18-25 support vouchers." Yet, blacks still vote for Democrats, the party that supports an unaccountable, bloated, bureaucratic and iron-clad government-run school system.

The other issue of madness that I have noticed is the literal religious devotion towards Obama in this nation. Americans newspapers are starting to sound very similar to the North Korean communist and government-run press. For one thing, it was liberals who showed an incredible degree of nastiness over the last eight years of President George W. Bush's administration. Now liberals are stating that "[President Obama] needs the support of every American in this, because for better or worse, he’s now at the helm of the ship of state during a violent storm," says letter writer Jeff Cox in the NY Times. So under President Bush, liberals are supposed to show mindless rage, but now that Obama is president, "every American" must give up their natural desire to yell 'halt' to unlimited sums of new federal spending. Obama wins the election, and we're supposed to say that spending $1 trillion more in federal dollars is a natural development in a republic when one president leaves and a new president enters the stage. Perhaps the funniest letter to the editor in the NY Times was from a Edmund R. Schroeder, who states that he is a "registered Republican of more than 50 years." He expects us to think that he is a Republican when he issues a statement such as: "Let [Obama] govern, even if you think he’s making mistakes. Give him his chance. Acknowledge that, contrary to your beliefs, he just might be
right." What kind of opposition party states that a President may spend to oblivion under the banner of "give him a chance"? Also, why do you sound like such a wimp, Edmund R. Schroeder? We do not need to give him a chance. We know he is wrong because this strategy of spending unlimited sums of money has never worked in human history, whether it was during the big government growth era of FDR in the 1930s or 1990s Japan. In both cases, it failed. We do not need to spend another $1 trillion to learn whether Obama "might be right." He is wrong, and the House Republicans were right in voting no on this phony stimulus package.
