Obama surrenders Afghanistan to the Taliban.

I'm presently watching the war documentary Korengal, which shows a large number of our courageous fighters going against the Taliban and other dangerous Islamists.  It is sad to see that Obama has decided to let Afghanistan collapse and to literally surrender the country to the Taliban.   This is disgraceful.  Who do you think will be taking over this country when the United States leaves?

What should we have done?

• Get rid of the source of the problem: Islamism.  If we want to make Afghanistan safe for us, we should have tried to transform Afghanistan from an Islamic country to one that wasn't. It's as simple as that.  Their religion motivates the crazies, so get rid of it.
• Use the air bombers to remove the places where the Islamists are located.  We shouldn't have sent in so many people on dangerous missions when we could have gotten rid of the enemy via the air.
• Make a clear mission: get rid of the terrorists, the Islamists, and then get the hell out.  Don't create some ambiguous message on what we are doing there.
